I just recently found a website that list out all the top paying keywords for different letters. It is worth to take you several minutes to dig out some good keywords.

Maximize your sites advertising revenue by targeting higher paying keywords. Use our free lists to find high paying keywords. Hi,

I found out that you can increase your click through rate by displaying your ads (ideally a camouflaged big box) randomly.

This way users cannot learn where the ads are and "have" to read them every time.

It might be difficult to create a random function to display your ads, instead you can create different templates whith adds displayed differntly.

This way the user will think that the ads are random in your page and he won't bother learning where these ads are.

The only way I know of doing this is to create different templates for your pages.

So in template 1 you might have ads at the top, at template 2 you can put ads in the middle and so on.

So you just change the template you use each time you create a new page.

The other way is to do it manually. That may work for small sites, but can become a real headache for large sites.

Look at www.kompass.cl for an example.

I found out that if you put too many ads (even randomly) users get really annoyed; at some point the revenues generated by ads are inversely proportional to the amount of ads. What I want to say is that as many ads as possible is not always a good thing, sometimes less is better.

Sometimes it is better not only to put ads randomly, but also to alternate some pages without ads. This way user will not feel too aggressed and will read your ads and that's what this all about at the end of the day.

Anyway, I wonder if Google will someday create a "random google add". They sure have the technical knowhow to do it.

Great info on the key word $$. I just added Adsense to my sites. If a keyword is $1 a click, how much of that goes to the website owner?

Also, how do I know what key words my pages are currently showing ads for?

It is not fixed. In my experience, you will probably got about 10% - 30% from that. But that's a rough range, sometimes you will get more and sometimes less. This depends on the smart pricing system of Google.
