Many Gsense publishers always want to know how they can track the clicks on the Adsense ads. I once suggested them to use Adlogger, but since on Adlogger's homepage, it announces that this third-party software is no longer functional and accurate. Until Today, I have found one useful tool in seobook.com that enables us to track the Adsense clicks again. This tool is a free script that integrates with the Google Analytics, and to allow you to track your adsense clicks.

This tracking is done through "Goals". A goal is a way of tracking when a website visitor does something you want - Buy an item, submit a contact form, or in our case click an adsense ad. There is a idiot-prove setup procedures for you to follow.

Once you have Google Analytics tracking your clicks, you can cross segment that data to almost any other data Google Analytics shows. It becomes a very powerful way of optimizing your site, not just for CTR, but for the type of visitors that click adsense.

I have a code to track adsense clicks, but I can see that numbers do not much. Almost every day I see more clicks through my tracking, then google reports on my account. Why such a difference?
Example today: 9 clicks, all came from different cities (all over the world), but google reports on my adsense account just 4 clicks.

There is always some different statisitcs reported by Google and the third-party software. It probably due to the difference of the technology used or whatever. Anyway, you need to trust the statistic reported by Google.
