Optimization Tips for Forum Site

 

Many Gsense publishers used forum to display Adsense ads to monetize their sites. However, one problem that commonly occurs is the low CTR. Since the visitor are regular members, and already get use to the ad block and other banner, he/she will have fewer tendencies to click the ads. That is also called "Ad Blindness". In order to improve the performance of Adsense within a forum site, no matter it is a big or small forum, there are some suggestions that you can follow:

1. The welcome box ad

Many forums have a message above the fold on their pages welcoming users to the site and encouraging them to register. Placing a large (336x280) or medium (300x250) rectangle next to this message catches users' attention right when they walk through the door (so to speak). 2. The forum post ad

3. Blending colors and breaking down borders
