Sell Your Advertising Space Yourself

As you are old enough in this money-making industry, you will start to realize that relying on Google Adsense for monetization is quite risky. Not only because you may not get desirable earning from it, but also due to the fact that you will get banned without any reasons. I really mean it, as you may know; I have been disabled by Google several times.

I swear I am an honest publisher than try my every best to follow strictly with the Adsense TOS, report all the invalid click activities to Google once I found them. But then, Google has still disabled for invalid clicks for several times! Gosh, how come an active poster in Adsense Help Group that always remind people not to click the ads himself will click my own ads! Never mind, I get used to it, and don’t misunderstand, I did not get banned yesterday.

The thing I want to show you is that Adsense is only one monetization stream, and in fact there are many more. I have been approached by a Webmaster that wants to rent a space in my site to provide link. Since the price for that is attractive, I accept it immediately. Of course, the price offered is directly proportional to the PR and the number of unique visits of your site. You will get a better offer if your blog is old and popular enough.

If you want to sell your adverting space proactively, I suggest you may go to the marketplaces like DigitalPoint and v7n, where there are hundreds of deal made everyday. Don’t waste all your time on Adsense now; try to sell the advertising space by yourself. In fact, one of my loyal readers, Neo, he also got offered from a webmaster who approached him through email. I sincerely hope he can get a nice offer.

Hi Shrinath,

That's easy, simply paste the code from the textbox on my right column into your site template.

Alright, your site looks fine, but there are some improvements. First, you should use only use type of font size, color and style for the text that make them more uniform. Second, the navigation on the right is not that good, and visitors may find difficulties to navigate your site.

I am looking forward to see your backlink in your site.

Hey Adsense Hut

Long time no see. Nice to see you mention about me in your post. But unfortunately i couldn't monetize the offer because my PR wasn't good and number of unique visitor condition wasn't satisfied in 24 hrs. Anyways i have just made a start and gained confidence with your tips. As my blog grows older and gets good PR i will try definitely to sell my blog space.

Infact from my experience this is the best thing to do than to run after the ad marketing programs.

Neo

Hi Adsense Hut,

It has been always an interesting experience to visit your blog as I consider it as an indispensable resource. I do have a blog. I would like to know more about running both AdSense and Bidvertiser ads simultaneously, isn't it against the policies of these programs or are you doing any kind of programming to display them. Please advise me on that.

Thanks

Hi Anil,

Thank you for your comment and question. You are allowed to have both Adsense ads and Bidvertiser ads on the same webpage, provided that they should have different ad formats and color schemes, so that visitors will not get confused.

If you really like my blog, would you please put a back link to my site, and subscribe my blog too?

Hello,
I had used yahoo site builder to build my website as well as to host my site. I would like to start using things like google ad sense and other tools. Is this something Yahoo would allow and is there a idiots guide to place the ads on myself or with the help of site building tools. I am not computer savy so things need to be explained on a step by step basis.
thanks
jason

Hi Jason,

If you are a newbie to this, I suggest you better use a free blog service from Blogger. This is much easier for you to build a site and add Adsense ads within minutes.
