Surge of Traffic in One Day

I use to have a sitemeter in all of my sites, in order to record all the daily traffic, and the source of traffic. To me, I even prefer sitemeter to Google Analytics since sitemeter can provide a real-time traffic log whereas Analytics cannot. I can also know, from the sitemeter, the details of each traffic to my site, including the IP address, the entry page, the exit page etc.

Alright, back to the original question. I have discussed in my post about StumbleUpon previously. I am sure many of you know it is a social bookmarking system that, if you manage it properly, can bring a lot of traffic to your site (see my post on how to get the most from social bookmarking system). Today, when I logged in my sitemeter, I saw that there is a surge of traffic to my site within several hours. In hour 6, I even had 90 unique visitors coming to my site! That's nearly a half of the average traffic per day. So, that proves that Stumbleupon is a good traffic source and worth putting effort into it.

Hi,

Really? I just thought the loading time of Bivertiser ads is more or less the same. In fact, I am, again, testing the viability of other Adsense alternatives.

Hi Odeh,

Yes, of course I will share more on the experience with Bidvertiser as well as other Adsense alternatives.

Well, disabling the right click is intended to stop the copying the articles from my site. I am sorry for any inconvinence to you. I sinerely hope that you can come and read my blog more often. This will be my motivation to keep updating the blog.

"Well, disabling the right click is intended to stop the copying the articles from my site."

I just highlighted that text on the page and hit ctrl-c and pasted the result in this comment editor so I would say your intention is a waste of time while at the same time, it pisses people off who might want to copy some of the content for legitimate reasons.

You might want to reconsider whether wasting your time and making people unhappy, at the same time, is worth something that has no effect.

Hi ichi,

Thanks for your comment. My aim is to prevent copying of my materials by copycats, but I could not find an effective way to deal with. If I can find an effective to combat that, I will immediately resume that right-click function. Do you have any ideas/suggestions for me on that issue?
